Matthew started with A Better Contractor, LLC in 2016 managing the Central US and Southeast markets including all retail shell buildouts. In 2021 Matthew was promoted to Chief Executive Officer where he provides strategic direction, sets the cultural tone, leads senior management, promotes team-building throughout the company, and finally focuses on the vision of ABC “To Be the first thought on our customers minds when they have a need.” Matthew’s commitment to excellence is at the heart of differentiating the company from our competitors as “best in class.”

He spent the 10 years prior managing people where he developed and identified the right people to grow the organization and his teams. He firmly believes “If you want something you’ve never had then you must do something you’ve never done.” This mindset has kept him always fighting for more and always expecting the same of others he surrounds himself with. Matthew attended and graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.

Matthew has been married to his wife, Mercedes, since 2010. They have three children together,  Scoutlynn, Kasseus, and Atticus. They spend their time developing their children and creating memories for their family unit, most of which include spending summers at the lake! Their family unit believes highly in life experience and loves creating unique opportunities for the kids to have forever.
