Matthew Day
Matthew is the Chief Executive Officer of A Better Contractor, LLC and is the Visionary and Integrator of the organization and its growth path. He Joined A Better Contractor, LLC as a Project Manager in May 2016 and managed the Central US and Southeast markets. Matthew became the Director of Operations in Feb 2018. Matthew was promoted to Vice President of Operations in Jan 2019. He spent the 10 years prior in the service industry where he developed and identified the right people to grow the organization and his teams. Matt continues to grow as a leader and individual and is completing his GC license in California.
Matthew has been married to his wife, Mercedes, for 11 years and they have a daughter, Scoutlynn (9) and two sons, Kasseus (7) and Atticus (5). They spend their time developing long lasting memories on the Lake for years to come.
David Perry
David is the Chief Financial Officer and manages all purchasing, compliance and the overall financial health of the company. He joined A Better Contractor as a Project Manager in 2018 and managed the upper Midwest territory markets after training in the Southern markets. He spent over 30 years working in the retail service industry where he developed his customer service and account management acumen that gives him a customer-centric lens to provide operational support to the team.
David has been married to his wife, Lori, for 30 years and they have a daughter, Taylor, and son, Ryan. They spend much of the time at weekend family gatherings and football season allows them to expand to home-game tailgating fun.
David enjoys working with a team of like-minded individuals that understand the easy answer is not always ‘yes’ but we will endeavor as a team to ‘make it happen’ within the boundaries of our Core Values.
Luis Marty
Luis Marty joined A Better Contractor as a Project Manager in September of 2018 and a year later moved into his current role of Director of Operations. Since joining the team, he has managed projects in multiple states and has built his teams to sustain work quality and improve response times to meet our customers' needs. Luis always puts the customers first and enjoys building trusting relationships with them. Leading the way with a CAN DO attitude.
Prior to joining ABC, Luis had over 20 years of management experience in the retail industry. During his career he was able to develop teams to be successful within the organization. Luis went to the University of Puerto Rico to get an education in Business Management. The skills learned in college and thru his career has made him the manager that he is and a Leader in the organization.
Luis has been married to his sweetheart for 24 years and they have 3 children and 3 grandchildren (and counting). He and his wife are from Puerto Rico and they enjoy returning for family visits. Although spending time with family is a priority, he enjoys a working out and playing basketball at the gym.
Brandon Low
Brandon has 30-plus years of managing and coaching people in the retail service industry. This ensures that his customers receive the service required and regularly exceeds their expectations. He handles different situations daily and has mastered the logistics that can complicate the solutions within the industry. He is quick to respond and react when our hospitality customers call, regardless of time, scope or location. Brandon is married with two children and they all reside in the DFW area. Brandon currently covers the eastern-third of the US and is actively growing ABC’s presence in this territory.
Bruce Perry
Bruce joined A Better Contractor as a Project Manager in June, 2021.
Prior to joining ABC; Bruce worked for over 30 years in the Retail Services Industry with roles ranging from Operations, Account Management and Sales. Bruce brings a strong track record of customer satisfaction and retention to ABC. Bruce has a degree in Economics from the University of Oklahoma along with a minor in Criminal Justice.
Bruce has been married to his wife, Leanne for 32 years and has three children, Zach, Eric, and Hannah. Down time includes bike rides, hiking and tailgating at OU games.
Brian Avery
Brian Avery joined A Better Contractor as a Project Manager in December of 2021. Outstanding territory development, training, and team building contributed to a successful 20 + years in the retail services industry in Operations Management.
Brian has been married to his wife Lisa for 28 years and has a son - Matthew(24) and a daughter - Bridget(21). The family enjoys the beach life and gaming together.
Kay Dela Cruz
From basic administrative tasks such as email management to billing concerns by handling the company’s accounts receivables and payables and prior to joining ABC, Kay had an 11-year extensive first-hand training and understanding of all elements of a successful Admin/Billing Assistant. The experience she had as an Operations Associate and Junior Team Leader/Workforce Specialist from her previous work such as supporting mid and senior-level managers through consistent Bookkeeping, and clerical support to 300+ team members, spearheaded new and existing company projects, has given her the personal experience, knowledge, and insight to ensure that her teams' needs are always met. Her skills of having keen eyes have honed, and the ability to multitask without sacrificing quality and accuracy.
Kay Dela Cruz joined A Better Contractor LLC as an Administrative Assistant in June 2020. She is currently managing transactions from bidding to closing, sending all reports, and has been reaching her daily objectives to add up to the company's success.
On a personal note; Kay would not be able to function well without a cup of black coffee. There was this one time she went traveling with her family and she brought the coffee machine with her. It's just one of the things she can't live without! And during her free time, you would always see her playing fetch and hide and seek with her dog, Rocky or play Roblox with her nieces for HOURS and spends her Sundays having lunch with family.
Liza Francisco
Liza Francisco joined A Better Contractor LLC as a Territory Manager in early 2021. Her role allows her to monitor transactions from start to finish while handling vendor and client concerns. She joined the team not long ago, but she's been delegated to manage work orders in multiple states. Liza makes her work top priority and she does her best to be on the same pace as the team - growing steady and fast.
Before joining ABC, Liza managed real estate transactions for 5yrs and worked as technical support agent for almost 6yrs. She went to the University of the Philippines to get an education in B.S. Business Management then later on switched to B.A. Psychology. The skills she learned in college while being exposed to different people and cultures allowed her to develop a strong set of work ethics.
On a more personal level, Liza has been independent at a young age leaving home for school and work but she's been living with her parents and niece now for over 5yrs and has close family ties with her 3 sisters, 4 nieces and 2 nephews. She considers weekend family afternoons to be the highlight of her week.
Lyn Villanueva
Lyn is one of the Admin Assistants who works with one of the Project Managers, Bruce Perry who also handling multiple sites in various states. She joined ABC last November 15, 2021.
Lyn started her career right after she graduated from college where her experiences from being a fast-food manager for 4 years and 12 years in administrative jobs working with multinationals trained her to value relationships and to be passionate to whatever role is assigned to her. She determines to be productive and organize making sure she accomplishes all the tasks needed for the day.
She is 5 years married to her best friend since high school. They lost their baby during their first year of marriage which made them couple to be actively involve in children and youth programs in their community where their weekends mostly spend with. She is a mother to her 5 fur babies (3 dogs and 2 cats) which 3 of them were rescued. She loves household chores and reading books. She spends her spare time in hiking, and cooking special dishes.
